This feature helps you understand and analyze equity within your organization from a broad perspective, going beyond equity. It also gives you insight into the demographic diversity of your workforce and helps identify any “problem areas” where there may be unequal access to opportunities or exclusive work culture.
In this article, you will learn about the Workplace equity feature and its three components:
To enter the Workplace equity features, navigate to Navigation bar > Report > Workforce Analytics. There you will be asked to select a dataset. Based on the dataset, the Workplace equity feature will help you understand the diversity in your organization, how it is changing, and how to target your DEI effort.
Workforce Composition
When you first enter the Workplace equity feature, you will only have access to the Workforce Composition since you only have a single dataset. Hiring & attrition and Internal mobility require comparison datasets to see how things have changed over time. The Workforce Composition view is illustrated in the following figure:
Selecting comparison dataset
By clicking on Comparison button and selecting a dataset to use for comparison, you will enable the Hiring & attrition and Internal mobility features, as the following figure illustrates:
Comparison feature activation
In the Workforce Composition, you will find key performance indicators for your current diversity including overall representation, differences in average salaries of the demographic groups, and top and bottom deciles representation. For each section, you can analyze the numbers behind the graphs by clicking on summary statistics and at the same time download the data in an Excel file.
Furthermore, you can choose how to view the data. Click on the Group by drop-down list to select how would you like to see the data, as presented in the following figure:
Grouping the data
You can also click on the Compensation drop-down list to analyze a different compensation field. Also, if you have more than one demographic variable, you can select what variable to analyze. To track changes over time, you can select a comparison dataset and explore the other modules for deeper analysis.
Hiring & attrition
In Hiring & attrition, you are able to analyze both headcounts and percentages of new employees across selected categorical groups. You can also analyze the attrition and examine attrition trends. At the bottom of the page, these insights are combined into a single set of graphs, providing a clear overview of workforce changes between the two datasets, as the following figure illustrates:

Internal mobility
In the Internal mobility section, you'll find detailed insights into salary increases. This includes both the numerical and percentage changes in raises, presented across your selected grouping variables. Additionally, it highlights the average raise amounts for different demographic groups.
The first two graphs focus specifically on employees who remained in the same job role across the two datasets, so the employees that didn't obtain any raises associated with promotions. These graphs provide a clear view of salary increases for individuals who retained the same job position.
For employees who changed roles between the two datasets, refer to the last Workforce mobility graph. This visualization showcases job role transitions, with an option to see only employees who received raises as part of their role change, offering a focused view on promotions.
